Simon O'Neill, Diabetes UK's head of
care, information and advocacy said:
"Diabetes is extremely serious."
"The longer it is left undiagnosed and
untreated, the greater the risk of
developing conditions such as stroke,
blindness and kidney failure."
"Type 2 diabetes can go undetected for
more than ten years and around half of
people already have complications by
the time they are diagnosed."
